Susan Milner is Professor of European Politics and Society at the University of Bath, where she is a member of the Gender, Politics and Society research group and the Institute for Policy Research. Her research investigates gender equality interventions at national policy level and in the workplace, focusing on the impact of policy on work-family decisions of individuals and households. Research (funded by the Leverhulme Trust) carried out in 2020-22 investigated policy on women and employment during the Labour years (1997-2010); findings will be published in a monograph to appear with Oxford University Press in 2024. Other recent work has appeared in British Journal of Industrial Relations, British Politics, Gender, Work & Organization, Historical Studies in Industrial Relations, Journal of Industrial Relations and Politique Européenne. Susan is preparing a chapter on the struggle for equal pay in the UK for the forthcoming GEPP collective volume.
