Welcome to the GEPPN Website!
The Gender Equality Policy in Practice Network turns 10 years old this year (for more details on GEPPN click-on ABOUT). As a network of researchers who are dedicated to understanding how to put in practice, through implementation and evaluation, policies that actually and effectively promote gender equality, the GEPP effort includes:
- an APPROACH to studying comparative gender equality policy practice
- specific studies and PUBLICATIONS that apply that approach
- the researchers and policy experts who have contributed to those studies, called GEPPERS
- NEWS about emerging research projects, CURRENT RESEARCH, publications, conferences and new groups, like the PENALITY PROJECT, outside of studies that apply the GEPP approach.
Our website is designed not just to showcase the GEPP network, but also to be the goto place for the growing international research community devoted to conducting research on the conditions and processes for authoritative, transformative and meaningful gender equality policy across the globe.
For more information on GEPP, please contact us at geppnetwork@gmail.com. If you would like to become a GEPPER let us know – ANYONE CAN JOIN!!! – just send us a short bio and your list of pertinent publications. Also, if you have any news to share on research related to promoting effective gender equality policy in action, please share it with us and we will post it here.
Sincerely,
Isabelle Engeli and Amy G. Mazur (GEPP CO CONVENERS)
