Olga Salido is Associate Professor of Sociology at University Complutense of Madrid, and during the course 2021-22, she is Visiting Associate Professor at UCD Geary Institute for Public Policy and Visiting researcher at Eurofound. Her research interests focus on the study of stratification and social mobility from a gender perspective, the comparative analysis of public policies and their impact on gender equality, particularly in the context of the Great Recession and the recent COVID-19 crisis, and gender biases in higher education and scientific policies. Her recent publications include two edited volumes, titled Sociology in times of pandemic (FES-Marcial Pons, 2021) and Perspectives and frontiers in the study of social inequality: social mobility and social classes in times of change (CIS, 2020). Her work has been published in journals like European Journal of Industrial Relations, European Review, Journal of Contemporary European Studies, Revista Internacional de Sociología or Revista Española de Sociología. She currently serves as vice-president for international affairs of the Spanish Sociological Federation and is part of the board of the ESA RN27 Research Network on Southern European Societies.
