Meredith Niezgoda is on faculty in the Division of Business and Social Sciences at Texarkana College in Texarkana, Texas. She holds an MA in European History from Ohio University and completed her PhD in Political Science at the University of North Texas in 2023. Dr. Niezgoda’s doctoral research focused on the relationship between personal perceptions of racial identity and the political behavior of American white women. More broadly, her research interests include racial and ethnic politics and gender in the United States. She has a background in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Within the GEPP project, she writes about the implementation of the federal Equal Pay Act.   Beyond research, Dr. Niezgoda enjoys teaching and encouraging civic engagement among her students. She teaches classes on American and Texas politics.
