Lucie Newsome

About

Dr Lucie Newsome lectures in management and economics at the University of New England. She has extensive experience in gender equality research and program development in the Australian context, including the development of the Lucy Mentoring Program, which has been offered at Australian universities since 2004. She has published in the fields of paid parental leave policy, women’s representation on corporate boards, gendered experiences of work and gender and entrepreneurship. Her media commentary includes columns for The Guardian and interviews on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio and online news outlets. Formerly, Dr. Newsome has held senior policy and project roles in the New South Wales and Queensland Governments.
