Francesca Scala is a Professor of public policy in the Department of Political Science at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, which is located on the unceded lands of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation. Her research interests include gender and public policy, gender mainstreaming, the politics of reproduction and assisted reproductive technologies, and the politics of knowledge in policymaking. She is the author of Delivering Policy: The Contested Politics of Assisted Reproductive Technologies in Canada (University of British Columbia Press, 2019). Her work has been published in Gender, Work & Organization, Journal of Women, Politics & Policy, Health, Risk & Society, and Politics & Gender. She is currently serving as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Concordia University.
