Emeritus Professor Alison Sheridan, UNE Business School, University of New England. Alison’s research interests include gender and management, corporate governance and regional development. Over the past three decades, has published widely in these areas including more than 60 journal articles, more than a dozen book chapters, a co-authored book, ‘Entrepreneurship in Regional Communities: Exploring the Relevance of Embeddedness, Networking, Empowerment and Communitarian Values’, and a co-edited book ‘Inclusive Leadership; Negotiating Gendered Spaces’. She has led research projects funded by the Australian Research Council and Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation focusing on gender and leadership in Australian rural spaces, and continues her research on women in leadership and how gender is impacting contemporary farm succession. Alison was Chair of the Gender and Diversity in Organisations (GDO) Division of the US Academy of Management in 2020, she is a Life Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) and Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
