About
Alicja Wejdner-Cichy – economist and member of the Council of the Congress of Women Association, one of the largest women’s organizations in Poland. She is a PhD candidate in Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). Her research focuses on income inequalities, with a particular emphasis on the effectiveness of equal pay policies across EU member states and within companies, as well as on women’s labour market participation. Her work bridges academia, business, and the NGO sector. Alongside her academic research, she has experience at the Polish Confederation Lewiatan, a leading employers’ organization and member of BusinessEurope. She has also collaborated with institutions such as the European Commission, the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), and the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). She serves on the Young Scholars Committee of the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE). Alicja integrates the Gender Equality Policy in Practice (GEPP) model into the study of equal pay policies at the EU level.
