About

Alba Alonso is Associate Professor in Political Science at the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her main area of research refers to gender and politics, with a particular emphasis on the implementation of equality policies, the study of territorial dynamics from a gender perspective, and more recently, the analysis of radical right parties. She has been a member of the QUING Project and of various EU-wide studies launched by the European Institute for Gender Equality. Recent works can be found in journals like Social Politics, Politics and Gender, European Political Science, European Journal of Women’s Studies and Women’s Studies International Forum as well as in collective books like the Handbook on Gender, Diversity and Federalism edited by Jill Vickers, Joan Grace and Cheryl Collier (Edward Elgar Publishing). She also has numerous publications in Spanish including a co-edited book entitled Género y Política. Nuevas líneas de análisis ante la cuarta ola feminista (Tirant lo Blanch).
